When you are too good at giving interviews!

I've been in the market so long that I feel like I know my story inside out and all the questions need be answered. My 5 year plan pitch deck is flawless at this point, I know exactly when to deploy the charming self-deprecation, when to lean in for the intense eye contact, and exactly which childhood anecdote proves I’m emotionally available. I just got too good at it and man, did it not get aggressively boring!

Introduce a bit of anarchy, this is where my self-sabotage phases kicks in. I almost just couldn't resist it but doing it for the thrill of it. Just out of the gate I would, blantatly make a radioactive statement, say for example "I think cheating is fine if men do it", completely unprovoked, haha, just to see if I can ever recover from it.

Ah man you literally see the woman's face glowing up. She has finally found him, the human embodiment of every warning her group chat has ever issued about modern men. I am the final boss, I need to be taught a lesson. I need to be shown my place. Ah so exciting, the stage is set and all prepared. 🤣

And let me tell you, the uphill battle to claw my way out of that crater? That is where the absolute juice is. It's an extreme sport of psychological warfare, it hits that bizarre, gritty sweet spot of the human experience where it’s so desperately sad you have to laugh uncontrollably, and so absurdly funny that it circles right back around to being a tragedy.

You think you’re going to reject me? Please. I reject myself first. Now sit back and watch me pull off the greatest emotional heist. It’s just a good life, man.
